On Thursday July 30th it was the family visiting day. Parents were invited to a Mass which was the student's first communion (not independently but with Confirmation group and teacher's. Editors notice). We were supposed to hold the Service at the Church in the woods however it was raining. The Service was instead held inside at the gym. After the Service we had coffee with parents before they left.

After dinner we went on a nature retreat. Half of the  group rowed there on canoes and rowing boats, however 2 girls capsized after only 7 meters offshore. The rest of the group walked and did nature activities. Once we arrived at the campsite we played many team building games, sang hymns, and the biggies performed skits. After we grilled burgers.

We left home, this time the groups switched and the groups who walked there took boats. Once we arrived back the biggies held the evening prayer. We had great day.

Eilisen herätys oli aika rauhallinen verrattuna muihin päiviin. Päivän teemana olivat kärsimys ja ylösnousemus. 

Saimme Raamatturyhmissä tehdä uutiset Jeesuksen katoamisesta haudastaan. Ensimmäisellä oppitunnilla keskityimme luomiskertomukseen ja pelastushistoriaan. Mediksessä teimme mahautumisen, jossa kaikkien päät olivat edellisten vatsojen päällä (kalanruoto, toim. huom.) ja kuuntelimme meren ääniä. Jumis pidettiin kappelissa, koska satoi ja aiheena oli pääsiäinen. Kuolema oli seuraavan tunnin aihe. Keskustelimme, mikä kuolemassa pelottaa ja mitä sen jälkeen tapahtui. Musiikkituokiossa teema oli hengellinen musiikki ja lopussa oli levyraati. 

Iltaohjelma oli taas kerran hauska, näimme sketsejä, laulettiin ja pelattiin.

We thought that the Olympics were great and fun. The weather was great, the sun was shining. The best activity was the human pyramid. Our group really like the costume the biggies wore because it was really funny. I (Eelis) believe that the system was corrupted and that the referees were very bias towards the teachers and that we should repeat the competition. It was a very nice day.

Monday July 27th 2015

Firstly we woke up and had breakfast, and being woken up by pans. In the lessons we went through the Bible and had group discussions about what made me Bible Holy to other people. Our group made then a sermon to our camp Service in which passages were read out of the Bible and how we are looking forward to different events in our lives. We came up with group names.

BLAZING BAMBIS FOR THE WIN.

We were told that Partaharju tradition is to have the Olympics (Our style), this consisted of, pinecone pong, box shuffle, Boot throwing, human spaghetti, counting and quiz's. Which leaves us to the question, who was shot?!

Ensin me heräsimme kattilankansien kalautteluun ja menimme syömään aamiaista. Oppitunneilla kävimme läpi Raamattua ja meillä oli ryhmäkeskustelu siitä, mikä tekee Raamatusta pyhän. Sitten ryhmämme valmisteli saarnan leirijumalanpalvelukseen, jossa kuulimme miten odotamme eri asioita tai tapahtumia.

Me keksimme itsellemme ryhmän nimen: BLAZING BAMBIS.

Sunnuntai 26.7.2015

Herättiin Epic Sax Guy'n tahdissa. Koska leirimme on samaan aikaan Kipinä-leirin kanssa, jouduimme nostamaan jokaisen osallistujamaan lipun, joskin kangerrellen.

Lipunnoston jälkeen osallistuimme yhtiseen jumalanpalvelukseen Kipinä-leirin kanssa. Pääsimme laulamaan swahilinkielisiä tervehdyslauluja :).

Vapaa-ajalla pelasimme koripalloa ja musisoimme. Se oli kivaa. Mediksessä rentouduttiin, minkä moni mainistsi olleen päivän paras asia.

Illalla menimme TAAS katsomaan Kipinä-leirin iltaohjelmaa valtavassa kaatosateessa. Olimme fiksuja ja suojauduimme mm. jätesäkein. Huolimatta reilun tunnin "suihkusta vaatteet päällä", moni meni vielä uimaan Salvosjärveen.

Iltahartauden jälkeen painuimme onnellisina (ja märkinä) lämpimiin ja kuiviin sänkyihin.

Lauantai 24.7.2015 

Tänään oli leirimme ensimmäinen päivä. Isosille päivä oli toinen, mutta leiriläisiä alkoi saapua kello 12 aikoihin. Aurinko paistoi suurimman osan äivästä ja tutustuimme pienryhmissä Partaharjun alueeseen leirimme päivä oli pääasiassa hiljaa istumista, mutta saimme päivän aikana myös aikaan rukoushelmet, omat ryhmät ja idean siitä, mitä rippikoulumme tulee sisältämään ja suuren jännityksen sitä kohtaan. Iltaohjelmassa isoset esittivät ylitse pursuavan hyvää huumorintajuaan huonoilla sketseillä ja vitseillä. Päivän päätimme rauhassa ihanassa iltahartaudessa.

Leirimme kanssa samaan aikaan maanantaihin asti pidetään Poikien ja Tyttöjen keskuksen -PTK:n kansainvälistä Kipinä -leiriä. Heistä lähti paljon meteliä.

Today was the first day of our Confirmation camp. For the teachers and the group leaders it was the second day. The campers started arriving around noon. The sun was shining most of the fine day. We got to know the area of Partaharju in our small groups. The campers were mostly sitting down the whole day, but we also got our Prayer Beads and small groups done, and idea of how the rest of our camp is going to be, and great excitement for it. During the evening program the group leaders showed their magnificently great BAD sense of humor with skits and jokes. We ended the day calmly in the lovely evening prayer.

Also in Partaharju there is an international children's camp called Spark. It is organized by PTK - Christian Association of Boys and Girls in Finland. The other camp will be leaving on Monday.

Partaharju kylpi auringossa ja lämmössä, kun leiriläisiä saapui...
Päivä oli täynnä ohjelmaa ja uusia ihmisiä!
